  Harold Varner III (born August 15, 1990) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Despite his smaller stature, Varner is one of the longest drivers of the golf ball on tour. Woods last played Feb. 2 in the first round of the Dubai Desert Classic when he shot a 77. Matsuyama was born in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan. He was introduced to golf at the age of four, by his father. During eighth grade, he transferred to Meitoku Gijuku Junior & Senior High School in Kochi Prefecture, in search of a better golf environment. He studied at Tohoku Fukushi University in Sendai.
